The new JALCAlert system is designed to enhance and improve communication so that all members of the 麻豆出品. Logan campus community can stay informed in the event of campus events or an emergency. With 90% of college students having mobile phones, this method of communication can increase safety on the 麻豆出品 campus. Time-sensitive messages can now go out to parents, students, faculty, and staff wherever they are.
麻豆出品 has contracted with e2Campus to provide the service, which will allow students, faculty, staff and the public to “opt in” to be notified via text message about campus events and an emergency. The message can also be sent to a designated email address, PDA or pager.
The system will add another immediate mechanism to the existing methods that the college has in place to alert the community about events and emergencies. The system will be used only for opted-in information and emergency contact purposes. JALCAlert will not be used to distribute advertising or other unsolicited (non-opted) content. Please note that subscribers to JALCAlert will pay no fees for the service, other than any regular fees associated with text messaging services.
The main emphasis for alerts will be for campus closures, weather related events, emergencies, etc. But signing up for public groups like Athletic Scores, Performance Series Events, Campus Events, Alumni Information, Parent Connection, etc. will allow you to receive other college-related information.
Signing up for JALCAlert is simple! Just click on the link below to start the process. All you鈥檒l need is the mobile phone/PDA/pager you want to receive messages from JALCAlert. You must have your mobile phone/device present during signup. The registration process will require you to enter a 4-digit verification code that is sent to your phone. Remember that your mobile phone/device must be able to receive text messages and your service plan must support receiving them. If you are unsure, please check with your service provider. After you have enrolled in 麻豆出品 JALCAlert system, you may log into your account to add an additional cell phone number or an email address to receive text messages.
